Vesuvius Lite is a hotend currently being developed with the goal of being more compact, easier to mount onto existing machines, and lower cost than the original Vesuvius hotend. With a 65mm melt zone, air cooling, sheet metal shroud with through hole mounting, Vesuvius Lite is ideal for high flow hobbyist machines and high performance machines as well!
Vesuvius lite makes use of an adapter plate design to allow for several different off the shelf and DIY hotend designs. Initially we will be supporting Orbiter 2, sherpa Mini, Thumper 2, and Sailfin extruders, but customers using other extruders can design and print custom adapter plates (or request one machined or SLS/SLM printed by us).
