Vesuvius V4.0 Hotend

from $100.00

Vesuvius is an ultra high performance 3D printer hotend designed with the goal of optimizing material flow to be as fast as physically possible while maintaining a relatively lightweight and rigid design. Designed to print at 150mm³/s through a 0.8mm nozzle with peak theoretical flow rates above 200mm³/s.

Note, an M6 nozzle adapter will be needed to use this hotend. It is recommended to use a separate heater such as a volcano or CHC pro for achieving peak flow rate for slightly more length and input power.

We currently offer both steel and aluminum shrouds, with steel shrouds being stiffer with better temperature resistance and aluminum shrouds being lighter. Additionally, thermistors can either be pre-installed in the heater cores, or a temperature sensor can be added by the customer. We currently only offer thermistors, however we are working on being able to offer both PT1000 and K type thermocouple options in the future.

The 4.0 revision saw the addition of slightly longer watercooling fittings on the shroud, making the attachment easier and more secure for your machine.

Currently, we only offer a watercooled version, however we will be releasing an air cooled version in the near future so stay tuned!

All hotends are made to order after purchase, so items will be shipped roughly 1 month after order date.

Non-compatible metals in a watercooling loop can lead to galvanic corrosion loops. While not normally catastrophic, galvanic corrosion can cause part wear and clogs in certain types of radiators and water pumps. It is highly encouraged that individuals use proper watercooling additives to resist corrosion to prevent premature wear and damage of components.

Note, this hotend kit does not include the CHC pro nozzle coupler, extruder, or nozzle.
